Promoting your Business through your Website

So you have a website. Now What?

Having a website is half your work done, but using it to promote your business is an ongoing process.

You need to keep pushing it to be seen by your prospects and be chosen over your competitors. There are some basic online habits and some tools that ensure that you create recall value without spending an eternity on the web. After all the idea of having a website is to save time marketing and spend time working!

Print Media

While websites reduce your need of print media, they go hand in hand. You want to make sure that your website is mentioned in every printed article that goes out from your company. These include your stationary, product packaging, newsletters or flyers. This will make your clients learn more about your company.

We love WordPress for us and for our clients. It’s a great trend in website building that allows clients to update information on the web without the need to hire a designer / developer each time. Once the website is done and handed over, you as a client can keep it changing with the season or the trend in terms of content. This could mean new products, a new event or on going classes. So if your business requires regular updates on the website, WordPress is the way to go – making your website the first promotional tool itself.

WordPress is already SEO friendly and does make your website easy to search. But with proper SEO (search engine optimisation), it ensures that you are on top of the list on search engines. SEO is a way to add certain keywords to your website that pertain to your trade and services. This makes you more ‘findable’ online.

Share your thoughts

Having a blog on your website is a great way to share your achievements, thoughts and company updates with your clients. People can subscribe to a mailing list to receive emails about latest happenings such as Sales, Upcoming Events, New Item added etc. Plus its a great way to show them what goes on in the back end of the company. It engages the client and builds interest – with which comes recall value.

Link up

Here’s another thing you can add to your website -Social integration. Firstly, a socially integrated website cuts down your internet time by half. It links your social media to the website so each time you update something, it send out ripples to your social accounts. This in turn brings your followers/ fans right back to you website, hence to your business.

Social Media

Generate more fans and followers through social media and engage them to see your website and your products. You can publish latest offers and promotions and create incentives to make them come to your website, such as freebies or a discounts. The more you are seen the more you are heard!

Local events – this is an old school but the most effective way to network. No body can sell your business better than you in person.Intoxicate your prospects with your knowledge and passion and back it up with a great website – You have yourself a deal!

Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this website.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s difficult to get that “perfect balance” between usability and visual appearance.
I must say you’ve done a great job with this. Additionally, the blog loads extremely fast
for me on Safari. Outstanding Blog!
